We are looking for a Cafe Lead to organize daily operations and motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service. The Cafe Leads assist the Cafe Manager with the goal of providing customers with excellent, quality products and fast, friendly service. This position enforces all procedures in the absence of the store manager. To be successful in this role you should have work experience with various roles in coffee shops. You should be available to work during opening hours, including weekends and holidays. Ultimately, you will help increase profitability, boost customer engagement and turn our cafe into a favorite local spot.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1+ years of experience in a restaurant/cafe environment
  • Must have or obtain a Food Handlers Permit within 10 days of employment.
  • Customer service focused and oriented
  • Energetic, passionate, positive and friendly attitude
  • Strong communication and organization skills
  • Strong team building and morale building abilities
  • Ability to implement company policies and procedures efficiently
  • Sound decision making and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve conflicts

Responsibilities
  • Leading the restaurant team in successful day-to-day operations
  • Leading, training, coaching, and counseling team members
  • Being a leader in driving store revenue by training staff to perform at their highest efficiency
  • Ensuring that safety and security standards are emphasized and adhered to
  • Ensuring high quality of food preparation and customer service consistent with Matcha Magic’s requirements and procedures
  • Maintaining appropriate inventory levels of food ingredients and restaurant supplies
  • Maintaining a clean restaurant with excellent quality food and customer service
  • Execution of food safety and restaurant safety standards and equipment maintenance guidelines
  • Acting as Manager when Cafe Manager is not present in store
