ob Summary: The Café Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a café, ensuring high-quality customer service, maintaining a clean and efficient environment, and managing a team of baristas, servers, and other café staff. This position plays a key role in ensuring smooth operations, maintaining high standards of service, and contributing to the café’s overall success.

Key Responsibilities:1. Customer Service Management:

  • Greet and interact with customers to provide a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Resolve customer complaints or issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure a high standard of service is maintained at all times.
  • Monitor customer satisfaction and take proactive steps to improve the overall guest experience.
  1. Staff Supervision & Training:
  • Supervise café staff, including baristas, servers, and other team members.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to ensure staff follow company standards and procedures.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback for staff development.
  • Assist in scheduling and managing staff shifts to ensure adequate coverage.
  1. Operational Oversight:
  • Monitor and manage the café’s day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency.
  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations, including food safety standards, are followed.
  • Oversee inventory management, including ordering supplies and ensuring the café is stocked with necessary items.
  • Monitor equipment maintenance and report issues to management for repairs.
  1. Financial Management:
  • Assist in controlling operational costs, including managing waste, labor costs, and inventory.
  • Help with the preparation and analysis of sales reports, including identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Ensure that cash handling procedures are followed, and assist in cash register reconciliation.
  1. Quality Control:
  • Ensure that all food and beverages are prepared to the café’s quality standards and specifications.
  • Conduct regular quality checks to maintain consistency in products and services.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café, including kitchen, seating areas, and restrooms.
  1. Team Collaboration:
  • Foster a positive, productive work environment through effective communication and team-building.
  • Assist in resolving conflicts between staff members and encourage a collaborative atmosphere.
  • Work closely with the café manager to implement new initiatives and improvements.
  1. Marketing & Promotions:
  • Assist in promoting the café’s offerings, including seasonal menu items, promotions, and events.
  • Suggest improvements to the menu or café layout based on customer feedback and industry trends.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience: 2-3 years of experience in a café or food service environment, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Customer Service: Strong interpersonal skills and a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Leadership: Ability to motivate, guide, and manage a team.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
  • Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy in food preparation, cleanliness, and quality control.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to handle customer issues, staff conflicts, and operational challenges.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with POS systems and café equipment.
