JOB SUMMARY:

The Café Supervisor is responsible for the smooth running of all operations of the café and in line with the highest level of customer care.

Responsibilities

· Responsible and accountable for ensuring the smooth running of all operations of the café
· Control, monitor and take action to positively impact key operational KPI’s including sales and waste etc. (this may include producing simple reports to capture this data)
· Prepare Food and drinks ensuring they are presented to high standard
· Ensuring the café area is well presented and welcoming to our customers
· Always ensuring exceptional customer service alongside
· Responsible for standards in café
· Lead for food hygiene and health and safety in the café area and updating/making the team aware of any changes in industry standards
· Responsible for opening and closing the site using the checklists
· Cashing up and reconciling the takings (sales of food and drinks) daily
· Managing stock, ordering and deliveries
· Inspect and maintain the equipment in the shop and flag any issues to the Store Manager
· Work with the store manager to ensure the café area is adequately resourced e.g. rota, alerting that holiday cover is required etc.
· To always maintain and promote a safe workplace and adhere to health and safety legislation.
· Responsible for overseeing, documenting and executing all HACCP, COSHH and Due Diligence processes
· Engage in activities to maintain and further your continuing professional development
· Report to the manager any potential risks concerning food hygiene, health and safety in the café area and how they may be mitigated.
