SUPERVISOR – OLD FOUNDRY COFFEE, PENRYN

We’re looking for a friendly, confident and hardworking Supervisor to join our team at Old Foundry Coffee, our second takeaway café in Penryn. This role is for someone with a high level of coffee experience who can take responsibility, lead by example, and support the team through busy service.

• 20–30 hours per week
• Must include Saturdays

About the Role
You’ll be supervising a small, passionate team serving breakfast and lunch to our loyal local customers. We’re all about homemade food and genuine hospitality.
As Supervisor, you’ll not only be hands-on with coffee and food, but also take responsibility for keeping service running smoothly and ensuring standards are always met.

Your day will include:

• Dialling in and making top-quality coffee every time
• Supervising service, supporting the team, and stepping in where needed
• Preparing fresh food from scratch (think coronation chicken, homemade pasties, fresh salads and sandwiches)
• Delivering brilliant customer service and setting the tone for the team
• Keeping cool under pressure when it’s busy – and making sure the team does too
• Taking responsibility for daily checks, standards, and the smooth running of the café

What You’ll Need:

• Proven barista experience – confident in dialling in grinders and producing excellent coffee
• Experience in a café or food environment, ideally in a supervisory role
• Level 2 Food Hygiene & Allergen Awareness (or willingness to complete before starting)
• A genuine love of hospitality, people and great food
• Leadership skills – confident, supportive, and able to take responsibility

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
