CAFÉ SUPERVISOR

Location: Bellfield Centre, Stirling
Hours: Part or Full-time hours per week
Salary: £24,647 - £26,763 per annum

Strathcarron Hospice is opening a new café at the Bellfield Centre in Stirling and we are now recruiting! The café will initially be open every Monday to Friday between 8am and 4pm with the intention of expanding our operating hours and days.
We are seeking to recruit a passionate and experienced Café Supervisor to help lead our new vibrant café team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love great coffee, and enjoy creating memorable customer experiences, we’d love to hear from you.
What You’ll Do:
· Supervise daily café operations and ensure smooth service
· Lead and motivate front-of-house staff to deliver excellent hospitality
· Handle customer queries and resolve issues with a smile
· Manage stock levels and place orders as needed
· Ensure cleanliness and compliance with health and safety standards
· Support training and on-boarding of new team members
· Assist with rotas, cash handling, and daily reporting

· Previous experience in a café or hospitality supervisory role
· Strong leadership and communication skills
· A hands-on, can-do attitude and a love for great service
· Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure
· Basic knowledge of food hygiene and safety regulations

SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Previous experience in a café, restaurant, or hospitality setting.

  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure.
  • Basic food hygiene and health & safety knowledge (certification preferred).
  • Competence in using point of sale systems and handling cash.
  • A friendly, approachable, and proactive attitude.

Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE:

To oversee the daily operations of the café, ensuring high standards of customer service, food quality, cleanliness, and team performance. The Café Supervisor supports the Café Manager in maintaining a welcoming environment and a smooth-running business.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Supervise front-of-house and kitchen staff during shifts.
