The Little Play Lounge, an independent and stylish children’s play café in West Berkshire, is looking for an experienced Café Supervisor to join our growing team. We are expanding our business and launching a brand-new menu, so this is an exciting opportunity to be part of something special as we continue to create a welcoming space for families to relax and play.
As a Café Supervisor, you will oversee the daily food preparation and kitchen operations to the highest standards. You will be hands-on in making food, managing kitchen staff, and maintaining a smooth workflow. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize food quality and deliver excellent customer service.
Experience in supervising a café or similar food service environment is essential, as is a thorough understanding of food safety and hygiene practices.
4 days a week, plus 2 to 3 Saturday’s days a month.

• Oversee the daily operations of the café.
• Take and process customer orders, serve food and drinks efficiently.
• Supervise and motivate the team café staff to foster a positive work environment.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety and hygiene regulations
• Manage inventory, track stock levels, place orders as needed, whilst being waste contentious.
• Collaborate with the management team to develop, test, and implement the café’s menu.
• Maintain a positive and welcoming atmosphere, focusing on the specific needs of families with young children or new parents.
• Address customer enquiries and resolve any concerns or issues promptly, ensuring complete customer satisfaction.
