This role helps ensure shifts run smoothly, service standards are met, team members are supported, and the café remains clean, welcoming, and guest-ready. The Café Supervisor will play an important role in building a positive team culture within a start-up café environment. Hourly Wage Range - $20.00 - $25.00/hr What you’re great at * Leading, coaching, and supporting a team * Creating a positive and welcoming guest experience * Communicating clearly and professionally * Staying calm and organized during busy periods * Holding team members accountable in a respectful way * Building strong relationships with staff, residents, guests, and visitors * Solving problems and escalating concerns when needed * Leading by example and helping wherever needed What you’ll be doing * Supervise and support the Barista team during daily café operations * Ensure team members are following service, cleanliness, and safety standards * Coach and train Baristas on customer service, drink preparation, POS use, and café routines * Support scheduling, shift coverage, breaks, and daily task assignments * Monitor guest experience and help resolve simple customer concerns * Ensure the café, equipment, seating area, and outdoor picnic area remain clean, stocked, and guest-ready * Support the team with regular coffee, specialty drinks, ice cream, nachos, and other café offerings as needed * Ensure only employees who are 19+ serve alcohol where applicable and that proper procedures are followed * Communicate low inventory, maintenance concerns, staff issues, or guest concerns to the Café Manager * Help build consistent processes and routines as The Bend café grows What we’re looking for * Previous experience in a café, restaurant, hospitality, quick-service, or customer-facing environment * Previous leadership, supervisor, keyholder, or shift lead experience preferred * Strong customer service and people-management skills * Ability to coach, support, and hold team members accountable * Comfortable working in a start-up environment where processes may change or evolve * POS/cash-handling experience is an asset * FoodSafe or food-handler certification is an asset * Serving It Right or willingness to obtain is an asset, especially if supporting alcohol service * Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and events as needed What you can expect from us * Medical and Dental benefits package * RRSP Matching program * Investment opportunities with Westbow Capital [https://westbowcapital.ca/] * New home discounts * Employee discount at Wodr Thermal Spa [https://www.wodrspa.ca/] * Professional development opportunities * Supportive team and leadership staff * Casual and energetic work environment * Flexible work schedules * Fun and inclusive company events * Volunteer opportunities with Westbow Gives Back [https://westbowgivesback.ca/] At Westbow our vision is to create a world where every person has the skills and opportunities to reach their greatest potential.
