Swillerbees is a fun, family-owned coffee and donut shop serving craft espresso drinks, fresh donuts, and good vibes steps from the beach. We’re looking for upbeat, reliable, and customer-focused individuals to join our team!

JOB SUMMARY

Our Bee Team Members are a key part to the success of creating a remarkable customer experience and making everyone feel loved, valued and known. Members are eager to learn, practice and perfect the basics of making great products. You’re enthusiastic to learn and display impactful customer service that will create raving fans of Swillerbees. And you’re eager to learn what it means to be a part of a dynamic team with a great culture. All our team members work well together to make a difference in the community not just with the products we offer but also with the way we offer them.
In addition to the below description, we are looking for a shift lead with experience to help manage the day to day employees. Keeping them focused on carrying our expected culture daily, following proper health guidelines, and various other Swillerbees daily processes you would be trained on. With the potential to move into more of an assistant manager position over time to help with inventory and money handling.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience as a lead in a café or food service environment, with barista or coffee experience being an extra plus.
  • Ability to lead other employees
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems (Square) is advantageous.
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and retail math calculations.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and practices is essential.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY ROLES

  • Ensure customer needs are met with the highest standards of customer service.
  • Making customer orders to precision, taking into account any modifications, special requests, or dietary restrictions/needs.
  • Being a quality team member, treating coworkers with respect and ensuring that you are going the “extra mile” to be of assistance to the rest of the team.

SECONDARY ROLES

  • Stocking cafe of the supplies needed throughout shift as well as for following shifts and days.
  • Ensuring the cafe is kept neat, clean, and presentable for customers.
  • Filling in for co-workers who are unable to make their shift due to sickness, or other emergencies (within availability).
  • Presenting yourself in a manner appropriate for work and serving customers.
  • Reporting stocking issues to immediate supervisor. (Being low, out, or general needs or supplies.)
