Cafeteria Aide (Part-Time) St. Louis Voices Academy of Media Arts (SLVA) Part-Time | On-Site | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 1:00 PM Pay: $15/hour School Overview St. Louis Voices Academy of Media Arts is an innovative public charter school serving students and families in St. Louis City. Our mission is to leverage media arts and storytelling to empower students to excel academically and make meaningful contributions to their communities. Position Overview The Cafeteria Aide plays an essential role in ensuring students have a safe, efficient, and positive dining experience. This position supports daily meal service, including breakfast and lunch, while maintaining a clean and organized cafeteria environment. Key Responsibilities Prepare and serve breakfast and lunch to students Operate checkout system and accurately track student meals Ensure all students are served in a timely and respectful manner Maintain cleanliness and organization of: Serving areas Cafeteria space Food preparation areas Assist with setup and breakdown of meal service Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines Support supervision of students during meal times as needed Perform other duties as assigned to support cafeteria operations Qualifications Required High school diploma or equivalent (preferred) Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Strong attention to cleanliness and organization Reliable attendance and punctuality Preferred Previous experience in food service, schools, or customer service Experience working with children Serv-Safe Certificate Skills & Attributes Friendly and respectful communication with students and staff Ability to work as part of a team Dependable and detail-oriented Ability to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment Why Join SLVA?
