SUMMARY The Cage Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily cage operations, ensuring compliance with Tribal Gaming Regulations, internal controls, and federal requirements including Title 31 (BSA/AML). This role supervises cage cashiers, safeguards casino assets, and ensures accurate and efficient financial transactions in a high-volume gaming environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Supervise all cage operations during assigned shift. • Ensure proper execution of chip transactions, jackpot payouts, check cashing, and TITO redemption. • Monitor cage bankroll levels and coordinate fills/credits with the vault. • Ensure smooth shift transitions and accountability. • Enforce compliance with Tribal Gaming Commission regulations and internal controls. • Ensure adherence to Title 31 / AML requirements. • Review and approve CTRs and suspicious activity logs. • Maintain proper documentation and segregation of duties. • Verify large transactions under dual control. • Perform shift counts and drawer audits. • Investigate variances and discrepancies. • Ensure all assets are secured. • Prepare and review daily cage reports. • Communicate with vault, surveillance, and audit teams. • Report unusual activity immediately. • Key Performance Indicators (KPS), Cage variance levels, compliance audit results, reporting accuracy, Employee performance, and Guest service satisfaction. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES • Supervise and train cage cashiers. • Schedule staff and ensure coverage. • Provide performance feedback and enforce policies. • Oversee escalated guest transactions and concerns. • Ensure compliance while delivering excellent service. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be able to work unusual hours, days, nights, weekends, and holidays as required. Must be able to withstand a background check. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Minimum: • High School Diploma or GED required. • Three to five years of cage operations experience. • Supervisor must obtain Tribal Gaming License and Title 31 / AML training required. Preferred: • Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business preferred. • Supervisory experience preferred. • Leadership and decision-making ability • High integrity and confidentiality SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS This position must comply with Tribal Gaming Co0mmission regulations, NIGC standards, and BSA/Title 31 requirements. • Knowledge of casino cage operations and controls • Strong math and reconciliation skills • Leadership and decision-making ability • High integrity and confidentiality CRIMINAL BACKGROUND MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS No person shall be eligible for employment at Menominee Casino Resort/Thunderbird complex if they have been convicted, or have an unresolved charge of: • Any crime which would require compliance with the reporting requirements for sex offenders pursuant to Menominee or Wisconsin law; or • A felony conviction of any kind in the immediately preceding two years. • A crime of any kind related to gambling in the immediately preceding two years. • A crime of any kind related to theft, fraud, or misrepresentation in the immediately preceding two years. • A crime of any kind related to a crime of violence, or involving domestic violence, or a drug offense involving sale of drugs, or possession with intent to sell drugs during the immediately preceding two years. • In addition to the minimum criminal background requirements listed above, employee must meet the minimum criminal background requirements necessary to obtain a gaming license as stated in Menominee Tribal Code Chapter 347 and the Tribal Gaming Compact. • Hiring in Gaming Position is contingent upon criminal background check. LANGUAGE SKILLS Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Verifiable ability to work with mathematical concepts. Verifiable ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. REASONING ABILITY Ability to define problems, collects data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to understand/interpret financial reports and documents.
