Overview
Baked Bouquet is expanding and we are seeking an experienced Cake Decorator to join our team in creating beautiful and delicious cupcake bouquets for special occasions. The ideal candidate will have a passion for cake decorating and possess a strong background in the culinary arts. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, creativity, and excellent customer service skills.
Responsibilities
- Decorate cupcakes for special events, parties, and holidays using various techniques and tools.
- Prepare cupcakes for decorating, including frosting, piping, and other finishing touches.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customers to ensure satisfaction with cake decorating services.
- Work closely with other team members to ensure timely completion of orders and efficient workflow.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to food safety and handling standards.
- Participate in catering events and provide exceptional customer service during events.
- Assist with food preparation and presentation as needed.
Skills
- Proficiency in cake decorating techniques, including piping with buttercream.
- Strong background in the culinary arts, with experience in food preparation and presentation.
- Ability to handle food safely and maintain a clean working environment.
- Experience in a fast-paced food industry environment, with a focus on customer service.
- Familiarity with pastry and cake baking techniques.
- Knowledge of food preparation and presentation techniques.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
-Ability to use professional-grade kitchen appliances and equipment
-Ability to proficiently read, write, speak, analyze, interpret, and understand the English language
-Ability to stand, bend, twist, reach, push, pull and regularly lift 25 lbs., and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
-Ability to work in varying temperatures
-Ability to tolerate dust and cleaning agents during routine housekeeping duties
-Ability to interact with Customers in a friendly and helpful way
-Ability to work cooperatively with others
-Ability to work all assigned work schedules and comply with all time and attendance policies
-Ability to lift up to 50lbs
-Knowledge of food safety practices
-Previous experience in a bakery or pastry shop is a plus
- Must have reliable transport
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
