ABOUT OUR COMPANY:

Deer Cake is a bakery located in Markham that specializes in freshly handmade cream cakes and delicate pastries. We are seeking a talented Cake Decorator to join our team.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITY:

  • Proven experience as a Cake Decorator.
  • Proficiency in cake decorating techniques, including piping, fondant, and sugar craft.
  • Ability to follow directions and procedures
  • Effective time management and organization skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
  • Ability to write simple Chinese Characters is a bonus
    Applicants must have a flexible schedule with working availability including weekends and holidays, hard-working and high energy!

  • Use various icing and decorating techniques to create visually appealing cakes.
  • Measuring and mixing ingredients according to the recipe.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Ensure the quality and freshness of all cake products.
  • Monitor and maintain oven temperatures to achieve optimal baking results.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized working station.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest cake decorating trends and techniques.
