Aida’s Pinevalley Bakery is a bustling bakery located at the foot of Vaughan (just bordering Toronto). We’re committed to providing a great variety of cakes, breads, pizzas, pastries and so much more. We take pride in our small, but mighty bakery and have a great team of staff. We’d love for you to join us! We are currently seeking a cake decorator to join our cake & pastry department. We are looking for a people-person; someone with great energy and one who exhibits passion in everything they do. There is opportunity for growth within our company.

SKILLS:

  • Fill, mask and decorate cakes
  • Be able to work with a variety of finishes for cakes, including whip cream and buttercream
  • Knowledge and experience with fondant and custom cakes
  • Variety of piping skills along with writing on cakes
  • Some airbrushing

REQUIREMENTS:

  • This is part-time position
  • Must be available to work on weekends & holidays
    Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
    Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and decorate pastries, cakes, assorted desserts and cookies
  • Set up and organize the pastry and cake counters/displays
  • Able to read and mix a variety of recipes
  • Demonstrate a hands-on approach to all bakery products
  • Ensure quality, presentation and consistency within all products
  • Be up to date with new decorating techniques
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
  • Must be available to work flexible shifts including weekends
  • Understand, operate, and maintain baking equipment
