Position Title: Cake Decorator
Location: St. Marys Galaxy Food Center – St. Marys, WV

Reports To: Deli/Bakery Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Cake Decorator is responsible for creating custom-decorated cakes, cupcakes, and specialty desserts that meet Galaxy Food Center’s quality and presentation standards. This position requires artistic ability, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills to help customers celebrate life’s special occasions.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Previous cake decorating or bakery experience required.
• Strong artistic and creative skills, with knowledge of icing, fondant, and piping techniques.
• Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Flexible schedule availability, including weekends and holidays.

  Pay: $11.00 - $15.00 per hour
  Expected hours: 40 per week

• Decorate cakes, cupcakes, cookies, and specialty desserts according to customer requests, orders, and store standards.
• Consult with customers on design, color, and style preferences to ensure satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, decorating tools, and equipment.
• Properly package and label finished products.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of special orders.
• Rotate products and follow food safety and sanitation standards.
• Assist with bakery production and merchandising as needed.
• Provide friendly, helpful service to customers.
