The United Firm | La Liga Defensora, APC is looking for an experienced Calendaring Virtual Assistant to assist our Criminal Defense department. This role will provide administrative support, conduct research, prepare statistical reports, and handle information requests. You will perform clerical functions such as preparing correspondence, receiving visitors, arranging conference calls and scheduling meetings. You will support the Managing attorneys in organizing, managing- book meetings, take calls, respond to emails.

Required Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience using Microsoft Excel, edit, sort/filter, and save spreadsheets (can maintain complex spreadsheets).
  • 1+ years of office experience
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
  • Previous experience in the legal field
  • Experience with Case Management Softwar
Responsibilities
  • Managing attorney scheduled court appearances and appointments; finding coverage for all appointments when assigned attorneys are unavailable or otherwise engaged.
  • Managing calendars and appearances are the main responsibilities. Contact with courts, appearance attorneys, paralegals and in-house attorneys.
  • Answer phone calls and direct calls to appropriate parties or take messages.
  • Record, type and distribute meeting minutes.
  • Greet visitors and determine whether you are given access to specific individuals.
  • Read and analyze incoming memos, submissions and reports to determine their significance and plan their distribution.

    Required Qualifications:
