Fixed-term till the start of December 2025 Part-time - with Thursdays and Friday off or Part-time to full-time (can vary) Drive in/Drive out Great location - Cape Foulwind Farm is just a 12-minute drive from Westport. The Opportunity Join our team on Cape Foulwind Farm and play a key role in rearing our next generation of high-performing dairy beef cattle. You’ll be responsible for caring for young calves—feeding, weighing, drafting, drenching, and monitoring their health and welfare. Animal wellbeing is our top priority, so you’ll champion our high welfare standards. You may also assist with milking the herd or general farm duties. This is a drive in/drive out role, so reliable transport is required. The fixed-term runs from now to start of December, with a minimum of twenty hours a week guaranteed, can be additional hours in busy weeks. The Farm Cape Foulwind is located near Westport just a 12-minute drive. We’re on 2000ha effective mix of productive pasture and undeveloped breeding country, serving as a beef breeding/ finishing property for Pāmu livestock farms, wintering just over 11,500 stock units. We focus on rearing Friesian bulls as well as Hereford and Angus-type calves, which are raised to a target exit weight of 100kg. This spring, we aim to rear between 550 and 600 calves through the facility. With the opportunity to work with new technology. About You You don’t need heaps of experience - just a good attitude, strong work ethic, and care for animals. If you're practical, reliable, and enjoy being outdoors, we want to hear from you.
