JOB DESCRIPTION: CALF REARER

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Calf Rearer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the care and management of calves from birth to weaning, ensuring their health and well-being. This role requires a hands-on approach and a strong understanding of animal husbandry practices.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Prior experience in calf rearing or livestock care preferred
  • Strong observational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to high standards of animal welfare
  • Basic record-keeping and communication skills

WORKING ENVIRONMENT & HOURS

  • Approx. 28+ hours per month, primarily covering every other weekend
  • Potential for additional shifts for the right candidate based on skills and availability
  • Full-time position based on a working farm with modern facilities
  • Training and support provided to help the right candidate grow in the role
