Calibration Coordinator | 12-month fixed-term contract | Based in Tatura Vic The Role Our Tatura site is an icon in the region, well known around the world for its quality dairy products. As well as being the country’s largest producer of cream cheese, it also produces infant formula, nutritional lactoferrin, various milk powders, plus our famous single serve butter. Are you passionate about precision and quality? Join Bega Group as a Calibration Coordinator and play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of our rapid analytical instrumentation. You will have a specific focus on infrared spectroscopy equipment, used to measure and monitor the composition of our iconic Bega products. This is a 12-month fixed-term contract to cover parental leave. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a high-impact role within a leading Australian food company. Based in Tatura, you’ll also enjoy occasional travel to our other manufacturing sites as part of your responsibilities. Responsibilities Lead scheduled calibrations of cutting-edge analytical instruments, with a focus on infrared spectroscopy (FT-NIR, FT-IR, NIR) Own the full lifecycle of instrumentation—from procurement to replacement Be the go-to expert for spectroscopy equipment, offering hands-on troubleshooting and technical support Ensure compliance with internal standards and key regulations like ISO and food safety Monitor performance metrics to keep instruments running smoothly and efficiently About you Post-secondary education in Laboratory Techniques, Food Science, Chemistry or Engineering Experience with data analysis and statistical process control. Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality Proficiency in the use of data management systems and information technology.
