The Boeing Company is looking for a Calibration Technician to join our team in Seattle, WA.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Ability to obtain an Qualified Electrical Worker (QEW) certification
  • Understanding of safety protocols and risks specific to DC/LF, avionics production, electronic equipment
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving complex issues in DC/LF avionics systems, using advanced analytical methods to ensure minimal downtime and consistent production quality
  • 5+ years of experience calibrating and/or using Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE)
  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical field in lieu of experience in calibrating and/or using Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE)
  • 1+ years of experience of performing electrical calibrations in a laboratory
  • Precision metrology equipment lab training
Responsibilities
  • Plan, check, set up, and operate, basic and advanced Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) and/or process equipment
  • Use calibration standards (dimensional, electrical, thermal, and optical) to calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair M&TE/process equipment using approved calibration procedures, process specifications, equipment drawings, and M&TE /process equipment manufacturer’s performance specifications
  • Conduct routine tests, analyze data and document results. Troubleshoot and recommend resolution of shop floor equipment, laboratory and test-related problems. Associated Duties and Responsibilities: Route M&TE/process equipment between receiving area, customer, and calibration lab
  • Coordinate with customers to calibrate stationary equipment while limiting machine downtime
  • Update equipment status using established systems and complete associated paperwork
  • Ensure equipment is ready for calibration per metrology processes
  • Prioritize and perform work according to automated daily report list, hot list, or as assigned by team lead or manager
  • Perform visual check of M&TE/process equipment for discrepancies and wear
  • Identify, document, and route non-conforming items in accordance with metrology lab processes
  • Provide information and clarification to customers on metrology processes. Develop and review new calibration processes and procedures
  • Perform computations necessary to analyze measurement test results
