Description

The Industrial Technology Centre is looking for a CALIBRATION TECHNICIAN to join our growing team!

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS:

  • Completed a Technical College program, or Grade 12 with significant related experience
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, including physical work as well as disassembly/investigation/reassembly of equipment
  • Familiar with devices such as pressure gauges, load cells, calipers/micrometers, force machines, scales and balances, threads, Go/NoGo gauges
  • Well organized, good time management skills, and ability to schedule internal and external recertifications up to 10 years into the future
  • Good analytical, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Strongly skilled in client relations, and communicating technical information
  • Background or experience in a machine shop setting is considered an asset
  • Ability to travel within Canada occasionally (6-10 times per year)
  • Proficient with MS Office 365 (Word, Outlook, and Excel)

Responsibilities
  • Calibrate various dimensional, pressure, force, mass, and hardness measurement devices
  • Maintain the internal equipment database of master standards
  • Travel on-site to client facilities to perform calibration activities
  • Assist in maintaining ITC’s ISO 9001 and ISO 17025 accreditations
  • Perform preventative maintenance of equipment
