Description

Performs a variety of activities involved in the comparison of measurement devices of unknown accuracy to a measurement device of known accuracy to detect, correlate, and report any variations in the accuracy of the device being compared. Maintains a high degree of quality, meets quantity targets while following standards and procedures. Must work individually and as part of a team as required to achieve production, quality, and quantity goals. Performing repetitive work is essential. Schedule/Hours: 1st Shift 5AM - 1:30PM ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS * Perform the operation of calibration using hydraulic or dead weight equipment. * Assemble bases to load cells and install in test equipment. * Review travelers for proper calibration testing. * Print out of unit labels and certificates of calibration. * Must be able to follow and complete various assembly operations. * Should be able to set and use various torque wrenches. * Should be able to work with computers. * Work collaboratively in a team environment to complete discrete tasks * Able to use fine motor skills to calibrate product * Able to work with precision and follow standardized, existing procedures * Able to work with a wide variety of hand and power tools * Completes paperwork and moves work onto the next stage of production in a completed, accurate state * Offers suggestions and improvements as they see them * Releases all test data to the computer database REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: * High school or GED equivalent * Calibration is not required, training available if needed * Some mechanical/technical skills needed * Reading and verbal English communication skills WORK ENVIRONMENT: This position will be in a production shop with heavy machinery.
