Job Description Position Purpose: Execution through completion, assigned projects designed to ensure continuous production and distribution of products consistent with established standards. Duties and responsibilities are accomplished personally. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supports and maintains all policies of the company including but not limited to ISO Standards, Health and Safety Requirements, Continuous Improvement as well as standard work procedures. Performs in-house inspection equipment calibration such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, pin gages, ring gages, as well as custom made gages and fixtures. Maintains weekly accuracy verification of equipment Optical Gauging Product Optical Machine and CMM. Performs maintenance, cleaning and minor repair of equipment and fixtures. Audits equipment and fixtures performance. Communicates with calibration vendors to schedule calibration service, equipment repair and maintenance. Orders and receives new equipment purchased for quality. Manages and maintains the files of equipment manuals, equipment qualification documents, calibration certificates, drawings of gages and fixtures. Manages and maintains the calibration data base inventory for scheduling in-house calibration of equipment as well as outside source calibration events. Performs annual metrology equipment inventory and generates report. Supports Measurement System Engineer in development and implementation through completion of new and improvement of existing inspection fixtures. Assists Measurement System Engineer in set up, verification and programming of equipment for functional tests. Executes specific responsibilities as defined within the company quality operating system. Assists Metrology manager and Measurement System Engineer in coordinating and executing objectives in cooperation with other departments, to maximize product quality and minimize cost. Other duties as assigned Qualifications POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Two (2) year college in related field or minimum three (3) years in related technology Minimum three (3) years of experience in Equipment Calibration Experience in use of basic measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, optical comparator, and microscope) Experience in use of Optical Gauging Product Optical Machine and CMM Ability to read and interpret Blueprints PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS: Computer skills Understanding of inspection equipment documentation and procedures Good communication and organizational skills Good writing skills Some travel required WORK ENVIRONMENT: Works in an office and clean manufacturing environment that may include moderate noise levels and required appropriate PPE and cleanroom apparel.
