DeliverCareRx is committed to providing effective solutions and high touch customer service to ultimately improve patient outcomes while exceeding the needs of our partners and healthcare providers.  DeliverCareRx is searching for a part-time CA non-resident Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) who will be responsible for for the work processed for our California pharmacy from our Mount Prospect, IL location. This role is responsible for processing prescriptions for hospice patients as well as ensuring the pharmacy is in compliance with all federal and state regulations. Key Responsibilities Key elements of the role can include: * Ensure DeliverCareRx remains in compliance with all federal and state regulations * Ensure policies and procedures are enforced and followed throughout the organization * Proactively advise on any new or changed federal/state regulations * Ensure timely renewal of pharmacy employee licenses, Federal DEA, pharmacy state and controlled substance licenses and all other facility licenses * Effectively communicate with timely and detailed follow up on any needed information regarding regulations * Ensure pharmacy self-inspections and all record keeping are properly maintained and filed, including but not limited to prescriptions, invoices and inventory records * Collaborate with co-workers and other healthcare professionals to acquire and review prescriptions to determine appropriate medication therapy  * Review and verify physician medication orders on a daily basis * Oversee medications prepared by pharmacy technicians * Provide Drug Utilization Review * Focus on quality assurance to correctly interpret physician orders and to prevent medication errors * Provide high quality customer service to patients and caregivers * Counsel patients and caregivers on medication therapy as needed * Utilize sound judgment to make appropriate decisions in the best interest of patients and the company * Assist with inventory functions including, but not limited to physical inventory, cycle counting, medication adjustments * Complete other duties as assigned Required Skills and Abilities  * Outstanding ethical personal character with commitment to compliance and integrity  * Analytical and operational process skills * Judgment/decision-making capability * Ability to manage multiple priorities and prioritize duties * Highly organized and efficient in a fast paced and growing environment * Superior customer service and relationship skills * Self-motivated and energetic team player with a positive attitude * Working knowledge of computer technology for prescription management * High degree of accuracy in data entry and/or fulfillment while meeting volume targets * Ability to function independently and effectively in a self-directed environment * Excellent problem solving skills   Education and Experience Requirements * B.S. or PharmD degree * Current State Board of Pharmacy Pharmacist License * PIC experience preferred  Drug-Free and Alcohol-Free Workplace DeliverCareRx is a drug-free workplace that conducts pre-employment, random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident testing.
