JOB PURPOSE OVERVIEW

At HSL, we’re committed to delivering outstanding service—and we’re looking for an organised, customer-focused Call Centre Operative to join our busy Logistics Team.
Reporting to the Head of Service Delivery, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that operational requirements are carried out smoothly, efficiently, and in line with both client expectations and our commercial goals. You’ll be the main point of contact for our clients, primarily via phone, providing exceptional customer service and accurate scheduling support to field teams.

MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist with the booking and confirmation of jobs, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Communicate with clients primarily over the telephone, as well as by email.
  • Enter all task details onto the company system promptly and accurately.
  • Support the Logistics Manager with commercial administration tasks.
  • Process jobs and follow up on client queries to ensure clear, timely resolutions.
  • Liaise with field teams regarding logistical or onsite issues, such as access or location concerns.
  • Ensure that reports from the field are returned in line with client service-level agreements.
  • Monitor urgent surveys to ensure prompt processing and communication.
  • Log all non-conformities and complaints accurately on the system.
  • Support the Logistics Manager in producing operational and commercial reports.
  • Follow all relevant health and safety and quality management procedures.
  • Ensure proper use and care of equipment and materials related to the role.
