The Opportunity
We are seeking a Call Support & Reservations Specialist to join our team in a full-time, permanent capacity. This position is the heart of our client communication, ensuring that every pet parent receives friendly, accurate, and timely support when booking services or seeking information.
As the first point of contact for many of our clients, you will be responsible for handling inbound calls, managing reservations, and assisting with inquiries about our services. Your ability to listen attentively, communicate clearly, and provide warm, professional service will help create lasting relationships with our clients and reflect the care we provide to their beloved pets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Answer inbound calls promptly and courteously, serving as the first voice of Old Derry Dogs and Goddesses.
  • Manage appointment bookings, cancellations, and rescheduling using our reservation system.
  • Provide accurate information about services, availability, pricing, and policies.
  • Collaborate with grooming, boarding, and training staff to ensure smooth scheduling and coordination.
  • Handle special client requests with attention and professionalism.
  • Maintain accurate client records and service histories in our database.
  • Support outbound calls as needed for confirmations, reminders, or promotions.
  • Resolve client concerns or questions with empathy and efficiency, escalating when necessary.
  • Contribute to maintaining a welcoming, client-centered environment in all communications.

Qualifications

  • Previous experience in call center, reservations, or customer service roles (hospitality or pet care industries an asset).
  • Strong verbal communication skills with a friendly, professional phone manner.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Proficiency with scheduling or CRM systems; training provided if required.
  • Ability to stay calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
  • A genuine love for animals and an interest in pet care services.
  • Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.
