Looking for an outgoing individual to provide support for a 27-year-old male in his home and within his community.
This role would be best suited for someone who is flexible, reliable and can provide thoughtful and sensitive accompaniment. Someone who can engage a young man in ways that are meaningful while maintaining a calm and adaptable energy.
Supporters are encouraged to enjoy time together including games, music, chatting, singing, neighborhood walks, visiting the local shops and restaurants etc.
Hours: The family is looking for someone who has open availability and flexibility for evening shifts (4-8 or 4-9) and some weekends (days 10 to 4 and evenings).
Personal care is involved during each shift. Use of a power wheelchair, lifts, and a communication device are expected. No Driver’s License required
Some of the supportive duties required include: Personal Care, Alternative Communication Devices, Participation in Community Events and Activities.
