CAM PROGRAMMER AD

Are you a skilled CAM Programmer ready to take a hands-on role in transforming technical designs into precision-machined components? Upton Engineering and Manufacturing is looking for a detail-focused and technically skilled professional to develop CNC programs and operate our 5-axis machining centre, delivering high-quality outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in CAM programming
• Minimum 2–5 years of experience in 5 Axis Machining
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. Mastercam, SolidWorks)
• Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and 3D models

• Program Development: Develop and optimise CNC programs from customer drawings using advanced CAD/CAM software
• Machine Operation: Operate and maintain the 5-axis CNC machine centre
• Quality & Safety: Ensure that all programs meet quality standards and comply with safety regulations.
• Testing: Check completed programs by running simulations or tests.
• Teamwork: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot production issues and ensure smooth workflow.
• Technical Support: Serve as the primary technical resource for CNC operators, providing guidance on machine setup and troubleshooting.
