Overview R&P Technologies is searching for a Configuration Data Manager to join our team! The successful candidate will be proactively engaged on a team providing varied CM support to the PMS 400D1 program on the Centralized Acquisition Management Activity (CAMA) Team in support of Arleigh Burke Class Destroyer shipbuilding program. We are a m-sized defense contractor providing Engineering, Logistics, Program Management and Technical Services to government clients. Responsibilities Load and maintain Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) configuration for all New Construction DDG51 Class Ships. Perform QA by utilizing data sources provided by the Navy and shipyards (BIW/PASC) to accurately load and change ship’s configuration. Use Excel and Microsoft access to compare data by performing queries for specific data elements. Use Model Based Product Support (MBPS) to make changes to the GFE configuration. Research Allowance Parts Lists (APL) and Allowance Equipage Lists (AEL) to verify associated parts data. Communicate with In-Service Engineering Activity (ISEA) groups to resolve data discrepancies on a system-by-system basis. Perform shipboard audits on critical GFE material to validate configuration. Review and process Work File Change Notices (WFCN) in MBPS. Provide weekly updates of work performed to supervisor. Qualifications Required Skills and Experience Bachelors Degree (High School Diploma with technical skills considered) Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Security Clearance One (1) - Three (3) years of related experience in Configuration Management Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Access, Powerpoint) Ability to support travel for potentially up to 1 week at a time for PCA Configuration Audits Self-starter with strong technical skills and ability to learn new technologies quickly Must have the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and oral communication skills Must be able to work independently or with a team Must have the ability to interface with customers, management, and coworkers Must have attention to detail, produce quality work, and have a drive for result Preferred Skills and Experience Active Secret Security Clearance SQL and Microsoft Access experience strongly desired Model Based Product Support experience or other Logistics Management Software experience.
