JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Monitoring Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining safety and security within our facilities by utilizing surveillance systems and effective communication skills. This position requires a proactive approach to loss prevention and conflict management, ensuring that all incidents are documented and reported accurately.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in loss prevention, law enforcement, or a related field is preferred.
• Strong conflict management skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Proficient in operating CCTV systems and other surveillance technologies.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective reporting and documentation.
• Ability to obtain relevant certifications related to security monitoring as required by the organization.
• Familiarity with report writing practices and procedures is advantageous.
• A keen eye for detail with strong observational skills to identify potential risks or issues promptly.

• Monitor live feeds from CCTV and other surveillance equipment to identify suspicious activities or potential security breaches.
• Conduct regular inspections of the premises to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
• Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, coordinating with law enforcement or emergency services as necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of daily activities, incidents, and observations through detailed report writing.
• Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding any concerns or incidents that may arise.
• Utilize dispatching skills to coordinate responses and manage resources efficiently during incidents.
• Assist in training staff on security protocols and loss prevention strategies.
