What We Need: We are seeking an experienced and passionate Camera Operator with a minimum of 3-5 years in the industry to join our dynamic team. This role is perfect for a creative professional who thrives in both production and post-production environments, and is committed to creating compelling, high-quality content that resonates with audiences. You’ll be working with The West Australian Newspaper’s award-winning digital production team of producers, reporters and editors on daily and long form content for our various digital and social channels.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Sony FX series cameras.
  • Proficiency with editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro) and motion graphics tools (e.g., After Effects).
  • Familiarity with content production specifically for social media and YouTube.
  • Familiarity with video podcast production tools and processes.
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with tight deadlines.
