We are looking for a CAMHS Senior Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for the CAMHS Team.
The successful candidates will work in an autonomous role supporting the assessment, diagnosis and treatment of young people in the CAMHS service. There will be good access to supervision and advice from medical and non-medical colleagues to provide a safe professional framework in which to practice.
The post holder will be required to undertake assessments, screening, diagnosis and case holding.
The post holder will be expected to deliver a high-quality innovative service for adolescents using research and good practice guidelines. They will take a lead role in developing a seamless service between community services, in-patient services, and adult mental health services.

Provide treatment to a caseload of complex cases depending on role within the team.
Ensure that appropriate systems are in place and in accordance with local policy
Facilitate the effective assessment, diagnosing, care planning, prescribing and review of children and young people referred to the specialist CAMHS service.
Link regularly with other agencies to facilitate effective communication between NMP clinics and the MDT Teams to ensure a quality service is maintained
To be supportive of the multi-professional team and encourage effective team working, implementing and maintaining high professional standards within and outside the team
Responsible for the supervision and appraisal of staff members of the tea
