Job Details Job Location: ALM-Camp Hidden Lake - Lexington, MS 39095 Job Category: Camp CAMP CHILDCARE WORKER Location: Camp Hidden Lake, Lexington, Mississippi Position Type: Temporary Full-Time Pay Rate: $450.00 per week This position is responsible for: Provides childcare services for the staff’s children, including personal care, hygiene, learning and development activities, and specialized programs. Key Responsibilities: Provides care to staff children throughout the day, ensuring they have partaken of meals and maintain proper personal hygiene habits. Maintains the cleanliness and orderliness of the childcare property. Assists in keeping DYS’s quarters neat and clean each day. Assists with putting staff children to bed, as needed. Aids in household duties, such as laundry. Participates enthusiastically as a member of the camp staff team to deliver and supervise evening programs, special events, overnights, and other all-camp activities and camp functions. Sits with camper tables during meals and serves as a table monitor when needed. Keeps personal living quarters neat, clean, and ready for inspection. Be available to participate and assist with camp programs and activities as directed by the Camp Director. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Some physical requirements of the Camp Childcare position include endurance, such as climbing, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching. Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity are essential for performing manipulative activities. Requires a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/programs, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Have a willingness to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours delivering a program at the available facility. Operate in daily exposure to the sun, heat, and varying environmental conditions.
