Spend your summer making lifelong memories while helping campers have the best summer of their lives! As a Camp Counselor at Camp Lincoln, you’ll play a key role in creating a fun, supportive, and unforgettable experience for campers. Counselors are part of the cabin staff team and are responsible for a group of campers within an assigned cabin and chalet group for 2–4 weeks at a time. In this role, you’ll serve as a mentor, leader, and role model—guiding campers through daily activities, helping them build confidence and friendships, and ensuring they feel supported and safe throughout their time at camp. From leading games and activities to cheering campers on during events, you’ll help create the positive, energetic environment that makes Camp Lake Hubert so special. Duties & Responsibilities * Help create and implement a fun and engaging weekly schedule for your camp group * Organize and lead a variety of small and large group activities each week, which may include crafts, nature exploration, songs, games, swimming, and more * Foster a positive cabin environment and support campers in building friendships and confidence * Identify and appropriately respond to camper behavior concerns with guidance from Camp Leadership * Help keep camp spaces clean, organized, and welcoming * Communicate with parents about campers’ experiences and report any concerns to Camp Leadership * Assist with maintaining accurate program records, including incident reports, logbook documentation, and daily attendance * Learn and follow all emergency procedures associated with camp operations * Follow and enforce all safety guidelines to ensure campers’ wellbeing and know their whereabouts at all times Job Requirements * Interest in working with children and creating a fun, supportive camp experience * Experience in camps, youth programs, recreation, education, or related fields is helpful but not required * Ability to lead, plan, organize, and participate in a variety of activities * Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also taking initiative independently * Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills * If applicable, current nationally accredited lifeguard certification (for applicable activity areas) * Ability to participate in outdoor activities and use camp equipment safely * Ability to hear, communicate with, and actively supervise campers in a variety of settings * Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed Education & Experience * High School Diploma, GED, or relevant experience working with youth programs or camps * Prior experience working with children is preferred but not required * Ability to interact positively with campers ages 5–17 with a wide range of abilities and personalities Why Join Camp Lincoln? lincoln-lakehubert.com [https://www.lincoln-lakehubert.com/?gad_source=1&gad_campaignid=21705365479&gbraid=0AAAAA-HSxxAPb1MXmKLLUVUxiC6JJRRnc&gclid=Cj0KCQiA2bTNBhDjARIsAK89wlGGg3-56YwCHFbz9u-ofVLLkCa_viuT-4gTPuYNPDLadrlOItmP-B4aAo-bEALw_wcB] Camp counselors gain leadership experience, build lifelong friendships, and have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on campers—all while spending the summer outdoors in a fun and supportive community.
