Job Details Job Location: ALM-Camp Hidden Lake - Lexington, MS 39095 Job Category: Camp CAMP DINING ROOM ATTENDANT Location: Camp Hidden Lake, Lexington, Mississippi Position Type: Temporary Full-Time Pay Rate: $300.00 per week This position is responsible for: Assists in serving meals; cleans the kitchen and dining area; maintains inventory. Key Responsibilities: Performs all duties in accordance with prescribed regulatory compliance guidelines as well as American Camp Association accreditation standards. Maintains awareness of the dining area to ensure safety, fire, and health policies and procedures are observed at all times; reports any deviation to the Camp Dining Hall Supervisor. Maintains personal hygiene according to health regulations (e.g., washing hands, wearing hair back, closed-toe shoes, etc.); duties include setting tables, serving on the food line at all meals, cleaning the dining room, bathrooms, and surrounding areas. Cleaning of the dining hall includes sweeping, mopping, polishing, and waxing the floors in the kitchen and dining room. Ensures the cleanliness of the tables, chairs, condiment holders, refrigerators, freezers, ice machines, coffee makers, stoves, and ovens. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to observe children and youth and ensure their safety. Some physical requirements of the Camp Dining Room Attendant position include endurance, which involves activities such as climbing, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching. Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity are required to manipulate dining room equipment and perform various activities. Requires a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/programs, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Have a willingness to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours delivering a program at the available facility. Operate in daily exposure to the sun, heat, and varying environmental conditions.
