Description Camp ECHO counselors will be responsible for the planning, organizing, leading, and carrying out day camp activities for children kindergarten through 8th grade. Camp staff ensure that all campers are having fun in a safe and encouraging environment. Other duties include cleaning and organizing supplies, chaperoning field trips, participating in swim days, and a variety of other duties as assigned. Camp ECHO takes place a majority of the time outdoors at Fel Pro RRR, a McHenry Country Conservation Site in Cary as well as Sunburst Bay Aquatic Center and local field trip locations in our area. Requirements - Experience in leading children, outdoor recreation, nature awareness, and crafts. - CPR/AED and first aid certification required (or willingness to obtain). - Must be at least 16 years old. - Hours of work are 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday. - Communicate (written and verbal) regularly and effectively with coworkers, parents, and participants. - Comfortable working outside in a wooded area and in the water at aquatic centers/field trips.
