Job Details Job Location: PMC-Camp Rappahannock, Virginia - Richardsville, VA 22736 Job Category: Camp Schedule/Hours: Seasonal Full-Time This position is responsible for: Performs a variety of housekeeping duties for a camp; cleans restrooms, offices, and other camp facilities; washes, stores, and distributes linens; ensures the neatness and cleanliness of the camp facilities on a daily basis. Key Responsibilities: Cleans camp facilities and offices; collects, washes, folds, stores, and distributes linens; ensures the accountability of linens. Maintains staff laundry schedule on rotation as well as daily laundering of staff laundry. Washes all linens from dining room after each meal and ensure linen is restocked. Washes camper’s laundry and return to counselor. Assists in securing linens for campers without proper linens. Monitors light fixtures to ensure all light bulbs are in working order; replace light bulbs as necessary. Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; cleans sinks and toilets, polishes mirrors, and replenishes supplies. Sweeps, vacuums, mops and waxes floors; sweeps sidewalks. Participates enthusiastically as a member of the camp staff team to deliver and supervise evening programs, special events, overnights and other all-camp activities and camp functions. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Some physical requirements of the Camp Housekeeper position could be endurance including climbing, standing, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity to manipulate activities are required. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/programs and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Have a willingness to live in a camp setting and work irregular hours delivering a program in the facility available. Operate with daily exposure to the sun and heat and varying environmental conditions. Additional Information: Camp Staff Orientation will be held 06/15/2026 – 06/21/2026 and participation is required. The 2026 summer Camp program session will be held 06/22/2026 – 07/27/2026.
