Job Details Job Location: ALM-Camp Hidden Lake - Lexington, MS 39095 Job Category: Camp CAMP HOUSEKEEPER Location: Camp Hidden Lake, Lexington, Mississippi Position Type: Temporary Full-Time Pay Rate: $300.00 per week This position is responsible for: Performs a variety of housekeeping duties for a camp; cleans restrooms, offices, and other camp facilities; washes, stores, and distributes linens; ensures the neatness and cleanliness of the camp facilities daily. Key Responsibilities: Cleans camp facilities and offices; collects, washes, folds, stores, and distributes linens; ensures the accountability of linens. Maintains staff laundry schedule on rotation and daily laundering of staff laundry. Washes all dining room linens after each meal and ensures they are restocked. Washes the camper’s laundry and returns it to the counselor. Assists in securing linens for campers without proper linens. Monitors light fixtures to ensure all light bulbs are in working order; replace light bulbs as necessary. Cleans and sanitizes bathrooms; cleans sinks and toilets, polishes mirrors, and replenishes supplies. Sweeps, vacuums, mops, and waxes floors; sweeps sidewalks. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions: Ability to meet attendance requirements. Ability to read, write, and communicate the English language. Ability to exert the physical energy required to perform housekeeping and minor maintenance work. Some physical requirements of the Camp Housekeeping/Laundress position include endurance, including climbing, standing, bending, stooping, and stretching. Eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity are required to manipulate housekeeping/laundress equipment and perform related activities. Requires a normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare, and communicate appropriate camper activities/programs, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Have a willingness to live in a camp setting and to work irregular hours, delivering a program at the facility available. Operate with daily exposure to the sun, heat, and varying environmental conditions. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU No formal education or experience required.
