YMCA of Middle Tennessee's Camp Widjiwagan is Now Hiring for a Camp Kitchen Team Lead Position Type: Seasonal (Summer 2026) Pay Range starts at $17 per hour (or more depending on experience) Shift: Flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and special camp events We’re looking for a hands-on Camp Kitchen Team Lead who’s ready to keep camp kitchens running smoothly and campers happily fueled! In this role, you’ll help prepare meals, support kitchen staff, and ensure every dining experience at camp is safe, organized, and delicious. You’ll work closely with the Kitchen Operations Director while helping lead the kitchen team during your shift What You’ll Do: Prepare and serve meals while supporting food prep, service, and kitchen cleanliness Help oversee kitchen staff during shifts and provide excellent service to campers and guests Monitor supplies, unload deliveries, and maintain health and safety standards Address concerns, support team communication, and occasionally serve as Manager on Duty What We’re Looking For: Minimum Age: 18 High school diploma or equivalent preferred Minimum 2 years of experience cooking and preparing meals for large groups; supervisory experience preferred CPR/First Aid/AED certification within 30 days of hire; New Hire Orientation before first shift Organized, team-oriented leader who thrives in a fast-paced kitchen environment Apply today!
