Job Details Job Location: TX-Camp Hoblitzelle - Midlothian, TX 76065 Education Level: Technical Degree Job Category: Camp About This Opportunity: This is a unique opportunity for a licensed Registered Nurse to apply clinical expertise and healthcare leadership skills within a Christ-centered summer camp setting. As the Camp Nurse, you will provide primary clinical oversight for camp health services, lead daily healthcare operations, and promote a culture of safety, preparedness, and compassionate care for campers, staff, and visitors across campus. In this role, you will oversee the Healthcare Center, ensure medical readiness and regulatory compliance, and collaborate closely with camp leadership to support risk mitigation and emergency response planning. This role supervises and mentors a team of nurse assistants, offering professional guidance, clinical oversight, and leadership that supports both quality care and staff development. As a key member of the camp’s leadership team, your impact will extend beyond the clinic—supporting holistic well-being through excellent healthcare delivery, encouragement, and meaningful camp community engagement. This role is ideal for an RN seeking a seasonal leadership opportunity where professional nursing practice and faith-based service intersect to create a lasting impact. Key Responsibilities Clinical Leadership & Health Services Operations Serve as the primary healthcare professional for all campers and staff, overseeing daily operations of the Healthcare Center in accordance with camp policies, standing orders, ACA and state licensing requirements. Prepare and organize healthcare systems prior to camp, including review of medical records, medication protocols, first aid supplies, and emergency procedures. Monitor camp-wide health and safety practices, enforcing compliance with camp policies, healthcare standards, and licensing regulations providing a safe environment as determined by the ACA Health and Wellness Accreditation standards. Staff Training, Support & Consultation Develops, plans, delivers and assesses the effectiveness of health-related instruction and trainings at the camp, (i.e. C.P.R., first aid, etc.). Trains and equips camp staff on health-related responsibilities, procedures, emergency response protocols, camper-specific medical or social needs, and communication guidelines. Report accidents, injuries, and significant health concerns promptly and accurately following established standard operating procedures. Communicate clearly, empathetically, and professionally with a wide range of stakeholders including Camp Directors, counselors, administrative staff, parents, and healthcare providers. Community Engagement & Faith Integration Serve as an engaged member of the leadership team during all-camp activities, evening programs, and special events. Actively participate in the broader camp community through meals, meetings, and interactions with campers and staff outside the Healthcare Center as appropriate. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN YOU Current licensure (RN) in nursing and ability to obtain license to practice in Texas Four years progressively responsible experience supervising nursing activities, preferably in a camp, school or related environment preferred, OR any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. First Aid/CPR certification and a valid Driver’s License (with a clean driving record) Additional Information: Camp Leadership Staff Training will be held June 3 – June 7, 2026 with all Staff Training held June 8 – June 14, 2026, and participation is required.
