Description We are seeking enthusiastic Camp Counselors to join our team for an upcoming summer camp. As a Camp Counselor, you will be responsible for supervising and engaging campers in various activities while ensuring their safety and well-being. General Functions: Under the direction of the Camp Director and Program Director, the Counselor will assist in the implementation of the day-to day operation and activities of camp. Responsibilities/Functions/Duties/Tasks The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to the following: Supervises, creates and implements camp activities. Supervises program staff. Ensures safety of programs. Facilitate activity signups, changes and special cabin activities. Acts as a resource and assists support staff with various responsibilities. Substitutes for counselors when necessary. Monitors staff performance and participates in evaluations. Completes appropriate paperwork related to camp maintenance and ordering of supplies. Assists with maintenance of campgrounds and cabins. Assists with camper behavioral issues. Ensures proper operation of the Camp store including cleanliness, organization and records of transactions. All other duties as assigned. Requirements Education and Experience: 18 years old and one year camp staff experience. CPR and First Aid Certification preferred but will train Effect on End Result: Position will help ensure Camp Y-Owasco participants will have a positive and enriching camping experience. Help influence the personal and character development of participants. Increased positive visibility of the Camp Y-Owasco experience.
Responsibilities
