Responsibilities:
PURPOSE OF THE JOB
Lead the Innovation Office within the BCM department, developing and driving innovation strategies within the BCM department, ensuring alignment with the company’s and departmental broader strategic goals. The BCM innovation manager is responsible for capturing emerging trends, translating them into actionable programs and projects that enhance performance, efficiency, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. By collaborating with internal stakeholders and external partners, the Innovation Manager ensures that innovation initiatives are integrated into the business and deliver measurable value.
In addition, the Innovation Manager oversees the governance, resource allocation, and performance tracking of innovation projects, ensuring they are executed efficiently and meet established KPIs. Through this leadership, the Innovation Manager drives innovation forward, empowering teams to experiment, solve problems creatively, and contribute to the organization’s long-term success.
You will report to the BCM Chapter Area Lead.
ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Innovation strategy & vision: (Co)define the innovation vision and strategy for the BCM department, aligning with broader organizational goals. Detect high-level trends and translate them into actionable innovation programs and projects.
- Stakeholder engagement & collaboration:
- Engage with key internal stakeholders (e.g. BCM chapter area lead, BCM staff members,…) and external partners to drive support for innovation initiatives.
- Facilitate collaboration and communication to ensure consistent buy-in and cross-functional integration of innovation programs.
- Program management & governance:
- Oversee the management of innovation programs, ensuring proper governance and prioritization based on strategic impact.
- Lead the innovation project managers, innovation specialists and teams responsible for executing innovation projects. (following agile best practices for governance (eg: guilds))
- Performance management:
- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for innovation initiatives to measure success and ROI.
- Regularly report progress to the BCM Lead and relevant stakeholders.
- Culture Building & Continuous Improvement:
- Build a culture of innovation across the BCM department.
- Promote continuous improvement practices by encouraging experimentation and cross-functional collaboration.
- Resource allocation & decision making: Manage resource allocation for innovation initiatives, ensuring optimal efficiency and impact.
