The Job The Campaign Lead is a core member of evo’s CRM team - owning the development and evolution of all batch email and SMS communications. This role is responsible for crafting a cohesive, connective communication framework across product categories, store regions, seasonal stories, and evo's ecosystems - ensuring messaging is strategically aligned to target segments and key audience cohorts to drive retention objectives and performance metrics. This person brings together strategy, storytelling, segmentation, and technology to deliver high-performing communications that deepen customer engagement, elevate evo’s loyalty program, ecosystem awareness, and drive incremental revenue. This role is expected to implement tools like creative plugins, dynamic product feeds, AI products, modular templates, and automated systems to dramatically reduce manual lift- shifting the CRM function toward more strategic, insight-driven work. The Opportunity Campaign Strategy + Planning Lead strategy for all batch (campaign) email and SMS communications, ensuring alignment with seasonal priorities, merchandising moments, brand stories, key segments, and loyalty strategy. Define and refine cadence, versioning strategy, segmentation plans, targeting logic, and connective storytelling across evo’s ecosystem (ecommerce, stores, Trips, Hotel, rentals, service, vertical brands). Overhaul and maintain the email calendar to ensure coherent, layered messaging across categories, seasons, regions, and customer cohorts. Collaborate closely with Brand, Merchandising, Retail, Events, and Creative teams to brief in all messages and ensure campaigns support top priorities and retention goals. Develop messaging strategies that increase awareness, understanding, and usage of the loyalty program through personalized placements, dynamic content, and behavioral triggers. Execution & Workflow Optimization Build, QA, and deploy campaigns using plugins, templates, dynamic product blocks, automation and AI-assisted workflows to streamline production. Maintain a highly efficient, repeatable campaign build process, continually identifying opportunities to optimize speed-to-market, reduce manual steps, and apply AI tools to accelerate execution. Ensure campaigns follow best practices for inbox placement, deliverability, segmentation governance, and file health. Collaborate with CRM Manager & Brand Managers to inform email deliverables and ensure timely creative reviews. Quality Assurance & Experience Standards Own QA workflows ensuring content accuracy, segmentation integrity, accessibility, and rendering across all devices and email clients. Ensure all communications meet evo’s standards for: ADA compliance Mobile-first readability Dark-mode resiliency Responsive layout Brand voice and design consistency Testing, Insights & Optimization Build and maintain a data-backed A/B testing roadmap across: Subject lines & preview text Cadence & timing Creative layouts Dynamic content & product logic Segmentation & versioning Mobile UX & CTA placements Analyze campaign and test performance, distilling insights that elevate engagement, loyalty behaviors, and conversion across channels. Regularly share insights and recommendations with CRM leadership, Creative, Brand, Merchandising, and broader cross-functional partners to influence optimization strategies. Requirements The Must Haves 2-3 years in CRM, email/SMS marketing, digital marketing, or lifecycle communications - ideally in ecommerce, retail, or a segment-driven consumer brand. Hands-on experience with ESP, including segmentation, template building, QA, dynamic blocks, and analytics. Familiarity with collaborative design environments; working knowledge of Figma is strongly preferred. Comfort working with AI-enabled tools to streamline workflows, enhance personalization, improve build efficiency, and support testing or optimization. Strong understanding of segmentation logic, personalization strategies, merchandising storytelling, and data-informed decision-making. Proven ability to manage complex send calendars and juggle multiple, multi-version campaigns. High attention to detail - especially in QA, copy accuracy, segmentation integrity, and template consistency. Analytical, curious mindset with the ability to translate data into actionable optimizations. Strong communication and collaboration skills across Creative, Merchandising, Brand, Retail, and Data teams. Nice to have: Basic coding knowledge (HTML/CSS) to support email template troubleshooting, dynamic content setup, and ESP builds.
