THE EXPECTED SALARY RANGE FOR THE CAMPAIGN MANAGER, PAID MEDIA POSITION IS BETWEEN $85K - $115K. BASE ANNUAL SALARY IS DETERMINED BY FACTORS SUCH AS LOCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND EXPERTISE.

Responsibilities

PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

The Campaign Manager, Paid Media will deliver best in class paid media programs to our clients, from audits and strategy development to execution and effective tracking and reporting. This individual participates in all aspects of executing high profile and complex clients’ paid media campaigns across channels including paid search, programmatic, and paid social. They are the lead day-to-day subject matter expert contact for their assigned accounts, providing strategic recommendations, analysis, and reporting as well as responding to ad-hoc requests. The Campaign Manager, Paid Media ensures team efficiencies through timeline management and an understanding of cross-functional workflows. In addition, they take an active role in developing that relationship through identifying strategic opportunities and optimizations, providing counsel proactively. This position will work closely with the Paid Media team and broader Digital team on the development of Paid Media and integrated digital marketing strategies, tactical plans and best practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

Paid Media

  • Draws on experience with paid media (paid social, paid search, display, video, etc.) to develop media strategies and tactical plans that align to client objectives
  • Conducts audience and keyword research to implement effective multi-channel paid media campaigns
  • Optimizes campaign, audience, creative, budgets and bids across multiple channels to achieve campaign goals
  • Manages media planning, audience research, creating ad copy, collaboration with creative team on design, campaign setup and budget pacing, and campaign reporting and optimizations
  • Identifies growth and scale opportunities in other paid media and digital marketing channels
  • Maintains accurate budget tracking, communicating potential under or overspends with senior account leaders
  • Keeps abreast of paid media trends, maintains relationships with vendor representatives, and proactively shares knowledge with the full team
  • Troubleshoots campaign problem areas, and leads a corrective course of action
  • Stays up to date on best practices and current trends

Reporting and analysis

  • Ensures that all paid activity and results are reported back to the client, providing analysis and actionable insights
  • Extracts performance insights from campaign data, identifying relevant trends and proactive recommendations for both internal and client teams
  • Communicates account performance internally (account reviews) and provides strategic advice to the client based on campaign performance data
  • Monitors and reports back on account KPIs and ensures accurate and timely reporting by junior team members
  • Provides detailed reports to the senior management team on request

Client Management

  • Acts as day-to-day paid media lead across accounts, with knowledge and insight into activities for all service lines and key delivery dates
  • Engages in and ensures a strategic relationship with the client, providing insight and partnership across all aspects of the marketing and communications spectrum, and specifically in paid media
  • Responsible for ensuring excellent client communication at all levels; defining KPIs, deadlines and service agreements
  • Exhibits a clear understanding of clients’ business, objectives, challenges and opportunities
  • Works closely with internal account lead(s) to regularly review account performance, identifying and communicating opportunities for additional PR, marketing and digital services, including incremental paid activity and creative
  • Assists with pricing and selling projects
  • Defines communication, testing, QA and media planning processes
