EDUCATION:

  • Two (2) year diploma in an applicable discipline (eg. Fundraising, Marketing, Communications, and Sales)

Experience:

  • Five (5) years of direct fundraising and/or equivalent level of sales/marketing/management experience
  • Experience as a United Way Loaned Representative is an asset
  • Supervisory experience and experience working with volunteers at various levels throughout the community are preferred

  • Ability to independently apply a broad knowledge of fundraising and sales practices and principles
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to set and achieve financial goals
  • Demonstrated skills managing multiple projects and multi-tasking

  • Familiarity with the Microsoft Office programs preferred
Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

The Campaign Manager is a fundraising professional responsible for managing accounts and developing targeted relationships for one or more of the divisions within the United Way annual campaign. This includes working with the Director, Vice President, staff and volunteers to plan and carry out campaign strategies to meet United Way’s resource development goals and objectives.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Key Responsibilities: Fundraising

  • Assists in developing and implementing the overall campaign plan
  • Analyzes data on assigned division and prepares and implements plans for account cultivation, solicitation, stewardship and accountability
  • Tracks and monitors activities and results for assigned division(s) ensuring accurate, up-to-date information is maintained in the database; prepares ongoing evaluations
  • In conjunction with campaign volunteers, is responsible for setting both financial and non-financial goals, preparing and implementing division campaign plans and strategies in accordance with Resource Development departmental objectives, plans and timetables

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: VOLUNTEER SUPPORT

  • Provides information, fund-raising expertise, and advice on planning and coordination of workplace campaigns to Employee Campaign Chairs, committees and canvassers to assist them in the management of their campaigns
  • Assists with volunteer recruitment, orientation and evaluation

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: LOANED REPRESENTATIVES

  • Supervises the Loaned Representatives on a day-to-day basis. This includes training and orientation to campaign, leadership and fund-raising guidance, problem identification and resolution as well as final evaluation

General

  • Participates as a member of the staff team in regular departmental and interdepartmental activities
  • Performs other duties related to the qualifications and requirements of the job
  • Responsible for the day-to-day supervision of the Loaned Representatives

This is a bargaining unit role with CUPE Local 1760. This position is at pay grade 39 which is $91,400.40 annually.
Candidates must live within 60 KMs (commuting distance) from our office as this position is currently a hybrid role and office attendance is required.
