Description
The Campaign Prevent Specialist - Steering will minimize campaign occurrences on forward model programs through the campaign prevent process, improve design robustness and compliance with foundation documents/requirements through leading the technical design review process, and assist with facilitating reviews and decisions leading up to a field service action. For the Steering systems: Guide and manage the Technical Design Review process for all programs Lead integrating the campaign prevent and technical design review processes into one process where the separate bits complement each other. Ensure the process timeline and program schedule is current and followed. Support development of 14D's, Prevent Action Closure papers, and migration plans Participate in durability reviews Support GEMBA Work Station Readiness reviews at all NA assembly plants. Support Steering Supplier plant reviews as needed. Established and active employee resource groups Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or similar 5+ years of engineering experience in automotive/underbody systems engineering On-site support for collaboration required targeting 4 days per week. Position requires travel / travel to FNA assembly plants to support on-site fresh eyes reviews, launches, and resolution of issues. Master's degree preferred 2+ years of steering engineering experience 3+ years of engineering experience with understanding of GPDS deliverables and basic Ford engineering tools including Teamcenter and buck 3DX through launch experience Experience launching new vehicles Ability to handle complex tasks and challenging situations under compressed timing Experience communicating with senior leaders, design and release, manufacturing, and suppliers Outstanding planning, organizational and project management skills with proper follow-up to accomplish multiple objectives Strong One Ford Leadership Behaviors with demonstrated ability to drive and deliver results Effective coaching and mentoring skills Excellent written and oral presentation skills Ability to build strong effective relationships with cross functional teams (Foundation Chassis, Design and Release, Program Management, Vehicle Operations, and Suppliers) For more information on salary and benefits, click here: https://fordcareers.co/LL6SP1 Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
