The purpose of this role is to support Focus Ireland’s Campaigns Team in creating and managing large-scale national fundraising campaigns, such as The Big Busk and Shine A Light. The Campaigns Officer will lead specific projects to meet fundraising targets, focusing on content marketing, copywriting, general administration, tracking, and reporting. Key areas of support include the overall implementation of campaigns. This is a full-time, permanent position of 39 hours per week, with occasional work required during weekends, evenings, and unsociable hours.
Responsibilities:
Support the Campaigns Manager on campaign project management from concept through to completion including the development of project plans; coordinating people and processes; ensuring all stakeholders work to set timeframes and budgets; tracking, monitoring, and achieving KPI’s; and identifying and minimising potential risks.
Developing and executing multi-channel fundraising campaigns aligned with organisational goals including ATL, BTL, Digital and experiential to deliver on income targets and raise awareness of Focus Ireland’s campaigns, including Shine A Light and other related campaigns.
Copywriting with a fundraising focus, including EDM, social media, Fundraising and Support resources and ad copy where necessary.
Developing and managing media plans and communication strategies including ATL, eDM, social media, resources and PR where necessary.
Monitoring and evaluating campaign performance, providing insights for improvement
Collaborate with the digital marketing team on ad campaigns and social media strategies.
Work closely with external vendors on the development and creation of online fundraising platforms and microsites for fundraising campaigns, to continue to improve donor experience and reduce administrative burden.
Implement best practice CRM approach and incorporate all work into the management information system (Microsoft Dynamics).
Planning and executing flagship events, including budget management, vendor coordination, and post-event analysis.
Manage relationships with external stakeholders including Media Agencies, Media Owners, PR agencies, etc.
Lead and mentor a team of fundraising professionals.
Foster a collaborative and high-performing team culture to maximise income and long-term supporter relationships as per the growth strategy.
Work with the Digital & Branding, Comms and Advocacy Teams to develop and utilise customer stories, images and videos to support fundraising campaigns.
Work across departments to support integrated marketing and partnership activities.
Evaluate campaign performance by reviewing data and reporting on this to the wider fundraising team to capture insights and learnings.
Undertake relevant tasks as delegated by the Campaigns Manager and the management team, and report weekly through one-on-one meetings.
Actively participate as a full member of the Focus Ireland team, supporting organisational activities and sharing Focus Ireland’s values.
Engage in agreed training and development, and remain vigilant to Health, Safety, and Welfare risks, reporting concerns to your manager.
