Join Our Campaign
We’re looking for a driven, confident, and organised person to help lead our grassroots campaigning in the run-up to the 2026 local elections. This is your chance to be at the heart of real politics, working closely with our councillors, candidates, and volunteers.
The Southwark Liberal Democrats are the official opposition on the council and we’re aiming high for 2026. You’ll be part of a growing and ambitious team determined to win more seats, influence local policy, and make a real difference in our community.
If you’re proactive, comfortable working with people from all backgrounds, and excited by the thought of building momentum on the ground then we’d love to hear from you.

Volunteers: Work with ward teams to recruit, develop and manage volunteers, and maintain data on volunteers.
Digital: Work with the council group and the local party to keep the local website up to date and social media accounts active.
Communications: Support local party officers to ensure regular email and other communications to members about campaigns, fundraising and policy, and work with the council group political assistants to support broader media and public relations activities.
The successful candidate will also need to support the good governance of the Liberal Democrats by keeping records of printing and other expenditure.
