About the Role
We are looking for someone with some experience in building campervans, or the required skillset, to work alongside our experienced van conversion team.
The ideal candidate will have knowledge of commercial vehicles conversion and will have worked in the automotive industry.
On success, the candidate will be building a campervans from start to finish and must be able to work using their own initiative, be able to follow instructions and have good communication skills. The right candidate will also be required to get involved with adaptaitons of existing builds not built by us.
As a skilled tradesperson, you will have experience constructing purpose-built vehicles or fabrication and possess a strong mechanical aptitude. You will need the ability to interpret plans and instructions, as well as possessing high technical knowledge in the fabrication of various materials including timber, plastics, glass fibre and steel.

To succeed in this role, you should possess the following:

  • Proven experience in coach building, boat building, fabrication or mechanics or
  • A passion for crafting high-quality products.
  • Excellent attention to detail and precision in your work.
  • Ability to interpret written instructions, technical drawings and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Competent in the use of hand and power tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift and manoeuvre heavy materials.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to learn and grow within the company.

Key Responsibilities

The role will involve working on a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Carpeting.
  • Metal work.
  • Insulating.
  • Laying flooring
  • Assembling and installing custom furniture for various layouts.
  • Installing and wiring 12V electrical systems for lighting, power, and appliances.
  • Installing water tanks, pipes, and other plumbing systems for van conversions.
  • Installation of LPG (training and certification will be paid for by us)
  • Fitting of diesel heating systems.
  • Fitting curtains and blinds, following limited instructions.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of power tools and hand tools for various tasks.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose issues as they arise, providing effective solutions promptly.
  • Working within limitations, asking for help as required.
  • Maintaining a clean and organised work area.

Essential Skills
We are as customer facing business with heavy foot fall, a good attitude is essential.
You will possess transferable skills, such as accuracy, consistency, common-sense and efficiency and should have a diligent approach to your work. On a personal level you will be positive, flexible, co-operative and be able to work to instructions provided by a line manager.
