THE ROLE We are looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our campervan workshop team. As a vital member of our operations, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining campervans to ensure their optimal performance and safety. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically proficient, and passionate about delivering high-quality work in a dynamic environment. WHAT WILL YOU WORK ON? Repair and Maintenance Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on campervans, including engines, brakes, electrical systems, and plumbing. Diagnose mechanical and technical issues, using tools and technology to identify problems effectively. Conduct repairs on campervan-specific components, such as water systems, heating systems, and appliances. Quality Assurance Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and complies with safety and regulatory requirements. Test vehicle systems and components after repair to confirm proper functioning. Workshop Support Assist the Mechanical Leader in prioritizing and organizing repair tasks. Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to health and safety standards. Inventory and Documentation Record all work performed, including parts used, repairs completed, and any recommendations for future maintenance. WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR? Candidates with certified training in mechanics, mechatronics, or a similar program in the automotive industry; Candidates with at least 5 years of proven experience with hands-on mechanical and electrical repairs - experience in campervans is a plus; You must have a high school diploma or equivalent (technical degree preferred); You’re fluent in English (mandatory); You’re eligible to work in Iceland, have a valid driver's licence and feel confident enough to drive a campervan (mandatory); You’re available to work on weekends and public holidays.
