Description Position Summary The Campground Attendant is the first point of contact for guests at Ironhorse RV Park and plays a central role in delivering a welcoming, efficient, and professional experience from arrival through departure. Under the direction of the Park Manager, this position is responsible for all front desk operations including reservations, check-in/check-out, guest communications, and site assignments. This role mirrors the Guest Services Agent (GSA) function found in traditional hotel environments and requires a hospitality-first mindset combined with basic administrative competency. Core Responsibilities Guest Services & Front Desk Operations • Greet all incoming guests with a professional and friendly demeanor; serve as the primary point of contact for the duration of the guest's stay • Execute check-in and check-out procedures accurately, including site assignment, fee collection, and documentation • Manage reservations via the property management system (PMS); process new bookings, modifications, and cancellations • Handle guest inquiries by phone, email, and in-person regarding availability, rates, park amenities, and local area information • Issue and reconcile daily cash drawer; process payments by cash, credit card, and other accepted methods • Maintain accurate guest records and reservation data within the PMS Park Rules & Compliance • Communicate and consistently enforce park policies, quiet hours, and site-use guidelines in a respectful and professional manner • Monitor arrivals and ensure site assignments align with reservation type (RV length, hookup requirements, pet policy, etc.) • Report and escalate unresolved guest conduct issues or policy violations to the Park Manager Administrative & Office Duties • Perform general office functions including filing, data entry, printing, and daily shift reporting • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and lobby area at all times • Complete shift checklists and hand-off communications to ensure continuity between shifts • Assist with preparation of daily occupancy summaries and other basic operational reports as directed Facilities & Grounds Support (as needed) • Conduct periodic walkthroughs of the property to ensure cleanliness, order, and guest readiness • Report maintenance concerns, equipment malfunctions, or grounds issues to the appropriate department • Support light housekeeping or grounds tasks during low-traffic periods or as directed by management Requirements & Qualifications Required • Strong customer service skills with the ability to remain calm, professional, and solution-oriented under pressure • Clear verbal and written communication skills; ability to interact confidently with a diverse guest population • Basic computer literacy; comfort learning and operating a property management or reservation system • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain accountability for a cash drawer • Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays • High school diploma or equivalent required Preferred • Prior experience in hotel front desk, guest services, or hospitality operations (GSA, front office, reservation agent, etc.) • Familiarity with RV park operations, campground management software, or similar PMS platforms • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus Physical Requirements • Ability to stand for extended periods at the front desk workstation • Occasional lifting of up to 40 lbs • Ability to walk the property for periodic inspections About Leisure Hotels & Resorts At Leisure Hotels & Resorts, our people define our success, and we work deliberately to grow and foster our internal culture.
